Works and construction have already begun at the Hyland Highway and Loy Yang-Morwell Road intersection.
The works will increase the safety and congestion of the estimated 7,400 vehicles that use the roads every day.
Funded by the Safer System Road Infrastructure Program, a roundabout is being built in place of the existing T intersection.
Drivers who frequent the area are warned long delays may be encountered, and the project will take up to 4 weeks to be completed.
