A massive 10km footpath/cycling path from Morwell to Traralgon is now underway.
The 2.5 meter wide path that will connect the two towns will be ideal for cyclists, as well as walkers and runners.
Stage 1 of construction has begun near the Morwell Train Station to McDonald Street.
The next phases will connect McDonald Street to Alexanders Road, then to Old Melbourne Road, then all the way along to Coonoc Road in Traralgon, at the back of the golf course.
The $4.5 million project aims to improve connectivity and liveability between the two towns, as well as promote a healthy active lifestyle, and is expected to be completed by June 2018.
