Moe Trainer representing the Valley at Flemington

Peter Galagotis is a second generation thoroughbred trainer in Moe and has been making his way in racing for many years.

In late October, Moss ‘n’ Dale won the Sale Cup and, just this Saturday, promising three year old Levendi struck gold in The Carbine Club Stakes on Derby Day at Flemington.

Galagotis will be representing Gippsland at the Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival with four more horses in the running this week.

Melbourne Cup Day (Tuesday Nov 7th) – The Willybe, Race 4: The Ronald McDonald House Charities Plate (2800m)

Oaks Day (Thursday Nov 9th) – My Unicorn, Race 2: The Kennedy Plate (1100m)

Stakes Day (Saturday Nov 11th) – Illustrious Lad & Malaguerra, Race 5, The Darley Classic (1200m)

Last year Galagotis trained 21 winners and, with Malaguerra already being a group one winner in the Victoria Racing Club Stakes, it’s bound to be an exciting and promising week of racing.
