Morwell Power Station & Briquette Factories have been determined cultural heritage of significance to the State of Victoria and should be included in the Victorian Heritage Register.
While heritage advocates will be over the moon, we can expect a major fallout from this as Latrobe Valley anti-asbestos groups are outraged.
Not only are these sites a major eye-sore but questions need to be asked who is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep costs of these sites.
