$221,000 grant secured for new skate park

Baw Baw Shire Council has successfully secured funding of $221,250 to build a skate park in Yarragon.

The grant was secured through the Latrobe Valley Authority’s community facility fund.

The project will see the construction of a 405m2 plaza style skate park and include public amenities.

The total cost of the project will be around $295,000, with the balance to be funded through the Council’s Capital Works program.

    • It’s not part of the Latrobe Valley. Funny that for the most part no one wants to be associated with the Valley but all seem to hop on board when there is money they need. And how does a skate park in Yarragon assist the rebuilding of work opportunities etc in the Valley?
