A teacher from Traralgon, who teaches at a school in the Latrobe Valley, has been accused of using Snapchat to stalk a student for 4 years.
Court documents reveal that the Traralgon man has been charged with three offences relating to the student aged under 16.
The teacher faces two charges of grooming for sexual conduct with a child aged under 16, and a stalking charge, including through use of the Snapchat app.
The stalking charge related to contact made on Snapchat between 2015-2019 “with the intention of causing physical or mental harm to the victim, including self harm, or of arousing apprehension or fear in the victim”.
The man was first arrested on school grounds in March this year, by detectives from the Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team.
