Police have confirmed a brown and white jack russell sighted in the Dargo area on Sunday afternoon belongs to missing man Jeremy Boyden.
Boyden was last seen on Dargo High Plains Road, near Dargo on Friday July 19 at around 5pm.
Investigators believe Boyden had the dog with him when he went missing.
A man four-wheel driving near Dargo spotted Boyden’s dog, who responds to the name Rocky, on Sunday around 4pm.
The man did not stop and investigate or collect the dog, as he was unaware of the search or the connection of the dog at the time.
Police are continuing to search the area for the 23 year old on dirt bikes and 4WDs, with assistance from Search and Rescue, the Air Wing, SES and Bush Search and Rescue. Police and family have concerns of his welfare due to the duration of time he’s been missing.
